ABSTRACT
The (hero’s) male body, perceived thus vis-à-vis the female body, is both ‘personal’ and ‘social’. While the ‘personal body’ remains the core, the ‘social body’ gives it the form. The personal and the social bodies are inseparable, and together they constitute the ‘body of the hero’ MGR or RK. In fact, the ‘personal body’ exists only as the ‘social body’, and vice versa. The resultant ‘body of the hero’ acquires certain transcendental dimensions in the socio-economic, moral and political realms through the narratively constructed phenomenon of ‘double-bodied migrantcy’ in a universifi ed multiverse.
