ABSTRACT
Environment and sustainability issues are part of everyday community dialogue … But is Australia moving quickly enough? What is government and industry doing to push us towards a more sustainable future? Triple bottom line and environmental impact reporting are now part of corporate Australia’s vocabulary, but how deep is industry’s commitment, or government’s? At the Commonwealth level action is piecemeal and limited … this is something PIA is seeking to change. A quick stocktake of our State governments shows adoption of the language of change … but are they really having a go? … evidence of progress is limited and tangibles are hard to find.
