ABSTRACT

Although research in this field is growing, many questions about what global governance enterprises (GGEs) are, what they do, and how they do it remain unaddressed. The case studies provide valuable descriptive information on GGEs and introduce this emergent form of global governance to many who may not be familiar with them, or may not even be aware that they exist (Forrer et al., 2012b). The organizational and leadership issues of GGEs are a key factor in their formation and their development of their operations. A summary of these issues is presented below, drawing from the interviews conducted with the seven profiled GGEs.
