Alicia Fedelina Chávez served as Dean of Students at University of Wisconsin, Madison, as Executive Campus Director at University of New Mexico, Taos. Pragmatism is not esteemed in higher education and in some ways is a form of activism in itself. One of his most important leadership roles to date is as a scholar, facilitator of faculty development, and writer about the role of cultural epistemologies and frameworks in college teaching.
