ABSTRACT

It's a shame if any child grows up not having been able to look down the barrel of a kaleidoscope. It's a magical world of colors, patterns and light that can be made to remain, momentarily, and then to be transformed into a whole new array with the slightest wish of the child's hands. The way it works is that inside the kaleidoscope there is a circle of mirrors containing loose, colored objects (beads, pebbles, bits of glass). As the viewer looks into one end, light entering the other end creates an endless array of colorful patterns, due to the reflection of the light off the mirrors.
