ABSTRACT
The brief analyses in Chapters 2 and 3 indicated clear geographical variations in the propensity of the members of different occupational, social class and tenure categories to vote for the three parties in 1983. This chapter presents estimates of those variations, using the entropy-maximising procedure out lined in the previous chapter, and in a series of regression analyses investigates their geography.
