ABSTRACT
In Chapter 2, we discussed the importance of building relationships for collaborative work. This chapter examines the role of communication in design collaborations. Effective communication is essential for establishing and developing successful relationships. All projects involve two basic types of communicationinterpersonal and task-based-the quality of which directly influences teammember relationships, which in turn profoundly affect the overall work.
