ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the concept of business strategy in the context of networked e-business. First it discusses the role of business strategy and its relationship to business models. A business strategy is related to all concrete business models of that company, which are specific to that company. A business organization is active in a number of markets, and a market contains a number of business organizations. The technology transformation alignment perspective aligns business strategy first with IT strategy and IT strategy next with IT infrastructure and processes here, the business-IT alignment is concentrated at the strategic level. For TraXP it specifies its business strategy, given its service-dominant business orientation. Here we see that the canvas consists of three main regions: the specification of a value-in-use, the specification of the service ecosystem in which TraXP operates and the specification of the main principles for collaboration management.
