ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the main elements of the first aspect of the BOAT framework: the business aspect. The business aspect contains the elements, of BOAT framework, networked e-business that describe the nature of e-business networks at a high level from a business-oriented point of view. It also discusses each individual business direction in a more detailed way. The business models are the basis for the achievement of an organization's business goals. Crowd sourcing is a business structure in which the 'power of the masses' is used to address business problems. The highly dynamic supply chain business structure can be considered a chain-level specialization of the dynamic partnering business structure discussed: partners are chosen dynamically, but for a specific reason, providing goods from or selling goods to. Also Crowd production is a business model in which the crowd is used to actually produce a product or a collection of products.
