ABSTRACT

Television (TV) and digital content creators attend their industry segment events for much the same reasons as their feature film counterparts do: to finance projects, find co-production partners, launch and promote new programs, license formats internationally and network with their peers. The TV markets provide access to distributors, ranging from the major networks, broadcasters and cable companies from all around the globe to OTT platforms and DVD experts, to major production houses, financiers and advertisers. The most significant television markets in the world are MIPCOM and MIPTV, sibling events in the autumn and spring at the same facilities in France where Le Marché du Film and the Cannes Film Festival are presented. The world's most established and biggest content markets for buying, selling, financing, co-producing and distributing TV, film, digital and audio-visual content are Le Marché International des Programmes (MIP). The full suites of MIP events are organized via their MyMIP website and show-specific mobile apps.
