ABSTRACT

This chapter provides detail on the working of energy-efficient heat pumps. Energy planners can better plan energy load forecasts with the optimal performance of technologies installed in buildings. Energy demand and supply can be modelled within an energy system at different levels of temporal–spatial scale. A lot has been written shedding light on how to model energy demand for residential, industrial and commercial buildings. Biomass and hydropower are two indigenous and highly potential energy sources in Nepal. A super grid is an indispensable tool that is used to make renewable energy, and to share vital resources such as conventional generation, dispatchable hydropower, pumped storage, peaking turbines and new energy storage methods such as vehicle-to-grid and spinning reserve. Development of international and regional super grids and the greater usage of high voltage direct current technologies is one way to unlock the true potential of a renewable energy future.
