ABSTRACT

In the 1990s, a new line of research emerged when different researchers began to investigate the effects of stress and coping on marriage. This research yielded new ideas for relationship education (RE) programs as well as couple therapy. The findings from this line of research provide the theoretical and empirical background for Couples Coping Enhancement Training (CCET) that was developed in 1994.
