ABSTRACT

The Production Division is the backbone of an ad vertising agency. It makes or mars the reputation of an agency by the quality of its work and by its ability or inability to work on schedule time. It is not the purpose of this chapter to tell what should be said in an advertisement nor how an advertisement should be illustrated. We are concerned only with the procedure to be followed by a production division in order to get advertisements into advertising media on the dates scheduled for their insertion, and with the matter of keeping proper records of the work performed in doing that job.
