1 CURRENT SITUATION OF HIGHER MATHEMATICS TEACHING

Higher vocational education in our country has gone through more than 20 years of development. In 1996, National People’s Congress (NPC) adopted and promulgated the “Vocational Education Law of the People’s Republic of China”, which legally defined the status of higher vocational education in China’s education system, thus beginning the prelude to the development of higher vocational education; and on the National Education Work Conference held in 1999, the central government proposed the work requirements of “vigorously developing higher vocational education”, the higher vocational education in China has entered a new historical stage of prosperous development. National policy of strongly supporting for development of higher vocational education help built a good platform, but due to late start of vocational education in our country, many problems are still in the exploration stage. Whether higher vocational education under the support of the national policy and community expectations can achieve the better development, and serve the community to develop more skill-oriented talents with higher quality, which mainly dependends on higher vocational colleges themselves, who must speed up the pace of reform in higher vocational colleges in order to better adapt to the needs of the community.
