ABSTRACT
In June 2008, Department of Communication Engineering, Shandong University at Weihai, was established on the basis of Department of Electronics in the college of information engineering. Through sharing the resources of the information engineering college it established the talents training target according to its own actual situation and the requirement of informatization in Shandong province. The talent cultivating mode was constructed which should pay equal attention to the knowledge, ability and quality. It also developed the scientific and reasonable course system, and then the teaching content and teaching method reform are gradually deepening. At present, communication engineering department share all the 25 various laboratories of the information engineering college. All laboratories are open to undergraduates, which provide experimental conditions for experimental instruction of basic courses and professional courses for under-graduate. All above create a good environment for cultivating students’ innovative ability and creative ability.
