Osiris, which contained essential members of his body, it would add a funerary significance to the monument. On the other hand we see in a Vignette of the Book of Gates Osiris seated on a throne with nine steps or stages, and these probably represent the divisions of his kingdom, the first and the ninth steps being regarded as vestibules.
