ABSTRACT

So far we have dealt with John Bolton’s institutional life insofar as he was an important part of major institutional developments across a wide range of activities, most notably management education and small business. But of course he had another life, with his family, friends, clubs, and a network of acquaintances connected with but not directly part of his institutional activities. It is therefore time to turn to this personal life, in which we see some important character traits and interactions which help to make up the story of the man. The first part deals with his private and family life, the second with the end of his and Gay’s lives, and the third with an evaluation.
