ABSTRACT

Judith H. Anderson is Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the English Department at Indiana University. She has worked on Spenser throughout her career, publishing numerous articles on the subject. She is author of The Growth o f a Personal Voice: Piers Plowman and the Faerie Q ueene (1976), and her most recent book is B io g r a p h ic a l T r u th : T h e R ep resen ta tion o f Historical Persons in Tudor-Stuart Writings (1984).
