I repeat the proposition, to preserve the connection between that and the demonstration. The demonstration I call it, for, if to serve in that character be not the intention of it, then is the p.,oposition a mere crude assertion without proof. If the naked word of the learned Baronet were to be taken, in respect of this the most impOf'tant pa.,t of the obnoxious project, as well might he have proposed it being taken as to the whole: nor is this the first time of its occurring to me, that a method thus short and easy, would not have been less prudential, than the more troublesome course he has pursued.
