ABSTRACT

Different cities are shaped by their realities; they reflect cultures and government systems and may face different challenges. Whether success stories or cities in crisis, they all share a common reality when addressing issues of climate change. Climate change is not just about greenhouse gases (GHG); it destroys nature’s habitats and biodiversity, induces severe inequalities. It frequently leads the poor and the immigrants to segregation and deprived areas to exclusion, and it intensifies urban decay and causes extreme natural phenomena which erupt more frequently and intensely.
