ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the Sufi representation of Jesus and discusses the treatment of Jesus in Sufism as being distinct from his usage in Muslim and Christian sources. The main argument is that Sufis utilise the representation of Jesus to bolster the general Muslim view of him as superior, but that their representation of him is also an indication of their tendency to explore the conventional boundaries between God and creation.
