ABSTRACT

In the practical affairs of life, as well as in leisure moments, memory has much to contribute. So much depends on a good memory in all kinds of work, and especially in brain work, that many people become worried about their poor memories and take up some form of memory training in the hope of improvement. But just here scientific study has proved to be of great practical value, and the best way to go about improving memory is to know the facts and laws of memory. To discover these laws and organize them into a comprehensive theory of memory-such is one of the great problems of psychology, a problem only partially worked out at the present time.
