ABSTRACT

Final Cut Pro (FCP) has considerable capabilities for animating images, allowing people to move them around the screen, resize, crop, rotate, and distort them. All of these properties can be animated, which allows they to enhance their productions and create exciting, interesting, and artistic sequences. FCP has three different functions for positioning and animating video or stills around the screen. The three functions are Transform, Crop, and Distort. The easiest way to control these functions is directly in Viewer with some handy on-screen tools. For precision, people also have access to numeric controls in the Inspector. Using the on-screen controls together with Inspector controls, they can manipulate their images with precision and ease. Furthermore, all these properties can be animated. The Anchor Point is the place on the image that everything moves around. The image scales to Anchor Point; it rotates around the Anchor Point; and when they position the image, they are repositioning its Anchor Point on the screen.
