ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on table that provides a Coding Scheme for Question Types and its Definition and Examples. It explores the Knowledge deficit and Questions obtaining information that they genuinely do not know. These questions aim to gain information or request clarification about a topic. The common ground T and S, T questions ascertaining what S needs, wants, knows, and understands about an assignment. The social coordination is T and S Questions relating to the actions of S and T during the conference. The Conversation control is T and S, Questions relating to the flow of the TS dialogue and to their attention. The Scaffolding and leading is T only Questions leading S to an answer, one that T seems to have already in mind. Often the answer is yes or no. S is writing a spatial description of the library, starting from the top floor and including each floor.
