ABSTRACT
The aim here is to describe the status of the witness, the disinterested observer of a specific situation, then the status of the person called to provide information,2 a hybrid status and a particularity in Switzerland, and finally the status of the injured, the person most directly affected by the commission of a crime, and the distinction made by Swiss law between the injured, the victim and the complainant.
