ABSTRACT

The next step of the model provides the vital link to all the preceding steps by gathering empirical evidence of the impact of the evaluation of previous data, the identification of targeted areas of focus, and the associated planning and application of instructional and assessment strategies. It is during this step that teachers and instructional leaders are able to chart a course of action, ascertain which aspects of their planning and implementation were effective, which showed promise, and which seemed to miss the mark. Here, the data team members also collaboratively look at their reflective logs, data, and other evidence of student performance, and build the next iteration from a strengthened platform of success.
