ABSTRACT
AUF (Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking) was the biggest political youth organization in Norway, fighting for a fairer world. Jorgen had been working shoreside in the pouring rain making room for the visit from Gro Harlem Brundtland, Norway's first female prime minister, by moving cars out of the deep, wet mud. His inbox was also flooded with event invitations for memorial walks in over thirty municipalities in Norway, as well as friend requests from campers all over the island, some of whom he had met and some he hadn't. It was only here that the campers could talk each other through the tragedy and coordinate future meet-ups, including the return to Ut ya in August. Citizens from all over Norway were coming together in Facebook groups to show their solidarity, and his hometown of Bod was no different. The historical ferry owned and operated by AUF, called MS Thorbjorn, carried fifty campers at a time over to the island.
