ABSTRACT
The tipster suggested she attend a meeting that night because “a professor has been unfairly discriminated against.” Ever the curious journalist, Bassett went to the meeting. She found herself in the middle of a story about sexuality, the Christian Church and allegations of prejudice. The professor in question worked at the university’s Brite Divinity School, affiliated with the Disciples of Christ Church. He said he had been barred from interviewing certain church ordination candidates because he was homosexual.
