ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates the issues associated with reliable studies and subsequences in performance analysis of notational data. The analysis in the different totals of shots of each game demonstrates how to add frequency data from two or more sources. The chapter examines some of the different possible interpretations of percentage difference. Percentage differences are a simple but effective way to measure the absolute difference between sets of data. From experience of previous work in performance analysis, the notation of position would result in the largest source of errors. The percentage error of the rally length can be obtained by examining the data at different levels, using different definitions for the calculations involved. Research papers in performance analysis have done parametric test and no reliability tests. The reliability tests should be examined to the same depth of analysis in the subsequent data processing. Examining the problems in the sufficiency of data, ensures the data for reliability is significant.
