ABSTRACT
The National Tourist Routes in Norway were developed by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration in conjunction with the Norwegian Tourist Board to capitalize on the country's unique (if sometimes difficult to access) natural features. 1 The eighteen scenic roads that currently make up the National Tourist Routes allow you to experience the awe and wonder of the natural setting at various destination points and along key routes. Like much of the country, many of the destinations along these routes are inaccessible by other methods of transportation, such as rail.
