ABSTRACT
Distribution includes all the processes and steps of getting the product from where it is produced to the purchaser's home. Direct distribution is when the producer personally sells the product to the consumer. In addition, direct sales can be through a kiosk at another retail location, such as a mall or urban street site. A wholesaler purchases the product from the producer and then resells the product to retailers. Another method of distribution is indirect, where the product is sold through an intermediary. However, for performing artists, product production must occur at the same location where the product is sold. Creative entrepreneurs may decide upon multi channel distribution, where the product is distributed by more than one method. The creative entrepreneur might also have their own website or they might sell their product using an existing online marketplace that is hosted by another company. Trade shows are organized by product type, with a show for almost every kind of product.
