ABSTRACT
In Element 1 Setting Direction, I described a transformational moment when a consultant, Susan Scott, made the above statement about my team and me. At the time I was in the middle of a crisis, being sucked into a vortex of despair, and Susan’s insights about the power of conversations helped me to become a better leader.
