ABSTRACT

I would like to report here on sort of a laboratory-class experiment, on the question of wave-particle duality. As Professor Weisskopf recounts in these interesting movies, Niels Bohr enjoyed reasoning on thought experiments. And he was very careful to draw aH the details of the apparatus, specially the screws. As you have already seen with the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Gendanken-experiment we can, fifty years later, realize these thought experiments. But our screws are lasers, and our field is not Quantum Mechanics but rather Quantum Optics. So, wave-particle duality will be illustrated with photons.
