ABSTRACT
We have already seen, in the historical section of this book, that Gestalt courses were available 108 in France from 1971 onwards, and that the first structured training courses started in 1979 with teachers from Quebec. This period saw the development and beginnings of the organization of Gestalt professionals in France: Marie Petit published the first French book entitled Gestalt, Therapy of the Here and Now, 109 in 1980. The German word Gestalt, although difficult to pronounce in French, gradually took its place in psycho-sociological vocabulary.
