ABSTRACT

G estalt comes from the German verb gestalten which means ”to give form or structure to.” Gestalt Therapy is particularly involved with ’’contact'’: how do we make contact with ourselves, with others, with our environment? Gestalt psycho therapy specializes in what we call the ’’contact-boundary,” that is to say, the place where information, desires and material needs meet. This boundary is moving all the time, it is our way of being in the world, of having relationships.
