ABSTRACT
The author suggests ways to transform the relationship between a client and his escort from a crass commercial transaction to a true camaraderie, from his own experience as a sex worker, stretching over four decades and many nations. Some five years ago he placed one of his frequent "Older Seeks Younger" ads in a San Francisco freebie paper. The author inserted the ad in a mainly straight publication that features a "Man Seeking Man" section in its personals. Bisexuals and closeted gays can bring such publications to their workplaces or homes without giving away their secret. The author's affair with Winston came close to resembling a boyfriend relationship. By being a sex worker for a year and a half, Winston improved his self-image, learned basic lovemaking skills, and made a bit of extra money. Then it was time for him to move on with his life.
