ABSTRACT

The phenomenon of older sex workers still plying their trade is relatively new. It started in the United States in the latter part of the twentieth century. Until then, practically all sex workers were in the streets or in bars and were younger men. They shed as many years off their ages as they thought they could get away with in their ads and competed with much younger sex workers. Some of these men were older guys who, often misguidedly, believed that they looked much younger than their chronological age. They shed as many years off their ages as they thought they could get away with in their ads and competed with much younger sex workers. Edmond arrived right on time, driving a 1998 Taurus. His facial features were a subtle blend of his ethnic heritage. His straight, jetblack hair was long, almost reaching to his shoulders.
