12 1/2 cups (or more) canned chicken broth

1 1/4 cups wild rice (approximately 7 1/2 ounces)

6 cups frozen corn kernels, thawed

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

10 ounces fully cooked smoked sausage, cut into half cubes

3 carrots, peeled and diced

2 medium onions, chopped

1 1/2 cups half-and-half

Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
