ABSTRACT

A sensitivity to culture and ethnicity is necessary but not sufficient for group work practice in the culturally diverse American society. An alternative approach is offered that redefines the parameters and philosophic-value base of social group work, and expands its role for it to address problems and needs that accompany cultural diffusion and change.
