ABSTRACT

An interview is the talk or chat you have with the creative team before and/or after you have delivered whatever they have asked to see. Sometimes the interview may be all they need and you will not be asked to do anything else to be judged for a part. So is there such a thing as a perfect interview? Yes, there is — one that goes exactly the way you wanted it to and where you have responded to all the questions with what everybody wants to hear. But, as with every type of audition, there is no proven formula for this success 100 per cent of the time. How the interview goes is all dependent on how everyone, including you, is feeling at the time. There are, however, right and wrong things to say and do, as well as proven techniques that will ensure that the effect of your interview is maximised more of the time.
