ABSTRACT

As I've mentioned repeatedly, it pays to be prepared and the same goes for any questions you may be asked. There are two that especially come to mind as being potentially difficult to answer: ‘What have you been up to lately?’, when the last credit on your résumé may have been years ago, and ‘You've not really done anything or have no major credits, why is that?’ With both of these it is easy to go into defensive mode or not know how to react, because while these facts are probably true, the questions can be negative or demoralising, especially when asked bluntly on the spot. Indeed, the questioner may be looking to see how you react.
