ABSTRACT
‘Network, network, network!’ We are all told this, and indeed, networking has become an increasingly important factor in all walks of life — the well-used American adage says ‘networking or not working’, and this is nowhere truer than in the entertainment industry. The acting profession can be a lonely business, especially when you're not working or part of a company, so it's important not only to network with potential employers, but also with friends and colleagues. They may well be in the same boat that you are, so offering each other support and encouragement is an excellent way to keep motivated.
