ABSTRACT
On 25 September 2015, the New York Times published a piece in its open access Internet edition about the violent demonstration against asylum seekers that occurred in Lahti, Finland. The videos and pictures of the demonstration which circulated from the Finnish national media featured a man clad in white Ku Klux Klan attire. The same piece of news circulated in Al-Jazeera, the BBC, the Guardian, and many other international news outlets.
