ABSTRACT
Students in online learning environments are expected to explore various learning contents and engage in various learning activities on their own to acquire knowledge and skills. Various factors affect the adaptivity and personalization of learning in such exploration-based scenarios. We shall look at various components of exploration-based learning, and how students can be supported through adaptivity and personalization in the learning process in such environments. We shall also look at designing adaptive and personalized learning environments for exploratory learning.
