ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the phase of workflow where one starts to connect the left and right sides of brains. Play, play, and play with all the tools, with the goal of discovering a sense of style and technique as one go. This approach is the best way to learn Light room's tools and what they can do. Consistency with style and design is one of the most overlooked pieces of a photographer's workflow, but it's terribly important. All the cameras on the market, all the computer monitors, portable tablets, printers, printer inks, and photo papers render tones differently. Being the non-destructive engine that the Develop Module is, the cropping tool is named Crop Overlay. The change one creates with the Straighten Tool is also reflected in the adjacent Angle slider, which you can always manually manipulate. The Spot Removal Tool is the tool to use for removing unwanted elements in a photograph such as sensor dust.
