ABSTRACT
In this chapter we give parents general rules and principles for implementing the specific recommendations we make in the chapters that follow. Here we are concerned with HOW the parent acts. In the rest of the book we are concerned primarily with WHAT the parent does. Success depends just as much on how you deal with children as what you do.
