ABSTRACT
For clarity’s sake, the seven stages of the Stepfamily Cycle have been described as a set of sequential, distinguishable steps from Fantasy to Immersion to Awareness, to Mobilization and Action, to Contact and Resolution. However, if we think of the Stepfamily Cycle as a map that describes the terrain of stepfamily living, families vary greatly in how they move through the territory.
