ABSTRACT
William Addison from Eastern Illinois University describes how a research proposal, used in conjunction with reports based on data collected by students, can be an effective exercise in the experimental psychology course. A combination of the two approaches encourages students to think critically and creatively about the research process and about methodological and ethical issues.
