ABSTRACT
Simple observation learns that people pick up many things during a day’s work and that they do so with remarkable ease. The movement, however, requires a delicate control of both the transport and the shaping of the hand. In this contribution we concentrate on the question as to how hand transport, and more specifically its deceleration, is controlled.
