KEYWORDS. Public school consultation, applied behavior analysis, practice standards
Behavioral consultation is a problem-solving approach that has been implemented effectively to improve service delivery in the areas of edu cation, mental health, and business (Bergan & Kratochwill, 1990). Sim ilar to other consultative models, a behavioral orientation has conceptual foundations that guide practice implementation. As contrasted to other models, a critical feature of behavioral consultation is the commitment toward protocol-driven methodologies and empirical efficacy evalua tion. This article discusses the focus, scope, and practice of behavioral consultation to public schools.1
